Apple Mac Mini – 2020
M1, 16 GB, 1000 GB
I have two Thunderbolt 3 displays (Apple). I can connect one via USB-C. The second one, as you know, does not work via HDMI. Now I was able to make a swap with an office colleague: Thunderbolt for Cinema Display, the latter I can connect via HDMI and it runs tip-top. Does anyone know how I could have made it work? Or does anyone know that it's because of the firmware that Apple currently has in the mini M1? In short, is it theoretically possible that they will support a daisy chain via USB-C/Thunderbolt 3 after an update? Or do I have to wait for the next generation Mac Mini?
Unfortunately, we have not yet been able to make any such experiences with this product. However, we have forwarded your question to our community so that a user with more knowledge can answer it.
Difficult to answer. But I don't think there will be an update for it in the future. At the moment, you can only connect one monitor via TB3 and one via HDMI. With the MacBooks, you can only connect one.
