You need a charging cable that has a micro USB plug (on the camera side)

For your Sony DSC-HX99 you need a micro USB cable for charging.

First of all, congratulations on this marvellous camera, it's hard to find a zoom like this in such a compact camera. And unfortunately the camera is no longer available. A USB Micro-B cable is required for charging. There are almost any number of these, e.g. Remax Cable USB-micro USB Kayla II, RC-C008.

Normal mobile phone charging cable, e.g. from an older Samsung mobile phone. This is the correct "usb-a mobile phone charging cable". You can get them in any mobile phone shop.
