I have connected the mainboard, but it has no power. When switching on, it starts up very briefly (flashes) and then is quiet. I have also removed all components and same problem. I reconnected the old mainboard to the power supply and it runs without any problems. Could the mainboard be broken or is the power supply (600W BeQuite) not powerful enough? Thank you

Helpful answer

BIOS problem. Try a total reset to reactivate the backup. This "total reset" is described in detail elsewhere. Possibly contact Gigabyte Support Germany. The employees are very competent.

Hi, thanks for the answer. I have tried everything. Connected all cables (12V CPU, 24PIN ATX) and then also removed all components. Have tried with two power supplies (1x 600W, 1 x 700W)... nothing works. Two old mainboards with the connections of the power supply start without any problems. Will have to send it back. Too bad. Thanks anyhow, BG

Save, the power supply except for the video card model is sufficient. Check if all cables are connected in the right way, including the 12v dedicated to the processor (usually on the top left where the CPU socket is), then check if the RAM is compatible and housed in the right way (refer to the MB booklet). If it doesn't work, it probably has a defect and should be sent back to the supplier by opening an RMA.
