Question about Devolo Magic 2 WiFi next expansion

I have been using 2 dLan 1200 devices for some time. Now I have bought a new devolo Magic 2 WiFi next adapter. Two advisors at mElectronics said it was "backwards compatible" with the adapters without "Magic" - but I can't get a connection to the Magic part. (via detection or manually adding in the cockpit software).

The dlan adapters use the HomePlug standard, the Magic 2 adapters use the G.hn standard. These two standards are not compatible but can be operated in parallel. You cannot connect the Magic 2 adapter with the dlan adapters.
