I currently have a Dell monitor with 60W output which I use to connect and charge my 13" MacBook via USB-C. I'm not sure if it's working. However, every time I try to connect a USB accessory or my iPhone to the USB hub of the monitor for charging, I get the message "High power accessory" (really annoying). This U2720Q model now has 90 watts of USB (C) output. Do these 90 watts apply to the entire USB hub or would I be able to connect my iPhone to the monitor for charging with this monitor without any problems?
If I remember correctly, there is a configuration for power consumption in the monitor's settings. There you would have to specify that this 90W output is desired. For example, I can charge my Macbook Pro 16" 2019 + Iphone XS (via USB) simultaneously via the USB C interface.
