I currently have a 27" WQHD and am thinking of buying a 4k for even more sharpness. While I can use the WQHD screen with 100% scaling, I assume that with 4k I need a scaling of 125 or 150% so that the symbols/fonts are legible. Will it still be sharp? Or does it look blurred? What are your experiences in this regard?

Helpful answer

A slightly higher scaling is certainly a good thing.
As far as I'm concerned, this screen is tip-top for the office, with a clear, clean picture. My uwqhd OLED is blurrier than this one.

at 4k with 150% scaling everything looks beautifully crisp. Windows 11 is very good at scaling. All the UI assets already exists at multiple resolutions in the OS code, and the system just uses the most relevant version to display.

When I fist got the screen I would notice some strange fuzzyness around straight lines, and I thought the screen was defective. But then I found the right scaling settings and now everything looks amazing. It's a good screen for the money. Not a high end or HDR screen, but really excellent image for the price.
