I currently have 2x 8Gb 3200Mhz of this brand installed and would like to upgrade. Does it make sense to upgrade 2x 16 GB with the same MHz 3200 and then also use the old ones so that I can use 2x16 dual and 2x8 GB dual as I use complex programmes?

I would use all the same /4X16 GB memory. depends on your mainboard in any case, otherwise there will be problems with XMP settings

Check how much RAM your system is already using and that should tell you how much you need. 2x16 plus 2x8 is sufficient for most systems. After that, it's just a question of cost. My own system has 4x16 because when I built it I had the money and didn't want to worry about RAM.
