Question about Apple TV 4K (3rd Gen) + Ethernet
How is the performance of the BlueTV app on the Apple TV 3rd gen compared to the 2nd gen box? Does the box still hang up sometimes? Is the response within the app smoother?
These are worlds apart, an Apple TV 2nd gen has an ancient A4 processor that had 1.6 Gflop processing power and a core that was at most 1GHz fast. It couldn't do 4K UHD either.
The new Apple TV model has the A15 processor, with 6 cores that can do over 3 GHz and that is enough for 1600 Gflops, so 1000x more computing power and 4K UHD can also the new. but always buy only the 128 GB version (only that has Matter, Ethernet and just more memory).
Long story short, yes the new Apple TV 3rd gen box is worlds better and faster than anything Apple TV has ever been.
