The Joby Impulse Bluetooth remote shutter release works with the iPhone as a wireless camera remote control via Bluetooth. You switch on Bluetooth on the iPhone, pair the remote control by pressing and holding the button until the LED flashes and then select "JOBY Shutter" in the Bluetooth settings. You can then trigger the iPhone's camera by pressing the button on the remote control. A special self-timer function is not required as the remote control activates the shutter directly.
