Hi, I recently bought this laptop and am planning to do an SSD upgrade. I have two questions about that process. Firstly, I’d like to ask if opening up the back cover and adding the SSD will affect the warranty. Secondly, I saw some videos about the upgrade process and I’ve heard two opinions about how the battery should be disconnected. Some say to release the connectors via the metal latch, which is on the motherboard end, others say that disconnecting it at the battery is safer. Is one method proven better than the other? I appreciate any help in the matter!
Upgrading the notebook may result in the warranty no longer being valid. Unfortunately, we have no personal experience of what the best approach to an SSD replacement is.
