The A240DAB is one of a number of car stereos that Pioneer has rushed out in the wake of the 2020-2021 supply problems.

The problem you explain has occurred on most A240 and A340s I have sold or installed. If you call Pionner they will tell you they don't know what the problem is or that your vehicle is the problem.

Don't waste any more time or energy: get used to the problem or get a Kenwood or JVC, or a "real" Pioneer (250DAB, Z3200...)
