Question about Keychron K8 Hot-Swap
Hello, I recently purchased the Keychron K8 keyboard (Swappable RGB Backlight Aluminium Red Switch) and am now facing a problem under macOS. The keyboard's key mapping does not match the available layout settings in macOS. I have tried to find the correct layout in the system settings, but without success. My question: Do I have to manually reassign every single key with carabiner elements, or is there a simpler solution that I may be overlooking? Has anyone had similar experiences or can give me tips on how to solve this problem? Thanks in advance for any help or advice!

After MANY MANY HOURS of frustration with nonosense driver updates, firmware updates, red herrings and dead ends from the Keychron website and multiple Reddit black holes, I finally found an app called Ukelele which did the job, and twenty minutes later I was happy with my Mac keyboard layout. Here it is:

Hi! I have the same keyboard and actually there’s a physical switch to change between the mapping of windows and macos. You’ll find it on the right side of the keyboard :)
