oh good question, unfortunately I don't even have a Mac of recent vintage so I don't know, sorry. The best thing to do is to read your Macbook manual if you still have it and look for what was installed there, but if it's that old, i.e. already 9 years old, I think it still runs with a normal hard drive, i.e. a 2.5 inch one, and then it definitely won't fit in here.
