Oops, I'm not sure. Mine is connected to my PC and works fine. Without being 100% sure, I don't think it should be a problem on a Smart TV; you just need to have two USB sockets to plug into the TV and then search for the sources on your TV remote. Good luck!

On most Smart TV models, the external DVD drives do not work because the latter are usually not plug-and-play capable and the required additional software is not available. However, you can play DVDs and CDs on the TV via a diversion: Connect the external drive to your laptop and connect it to the smart TV via HDMI cable.
