Hello - is the SSD recognised properly via the Samsung Magican ICY Box in order to carry out a firmware update of the SSD? With my Sandberg adapter, the SSD is not recognised, only the USB controller. The drive itself is displayed in Windows Explorer. Does anyone have any experience with this? Greetings Daniel

The ICY Box only recognises M.2 SSDs correctly. (The SSD with the 2 slots). Other SSDs can be inserted but are not recognised. Greetings, wesiho

I have no experience with this - presumably the FW updater wants direct access to the PCIe bus, and this is not possible because there is a USB adapter to M.2 in between. There is probably no other option but to plug the SSD into an M.2 slot on a motherboard.

Why does it need a FW update? My motto: only do such updates if you absolutely have to!
