Question about Sony UBP-X800M2
Hello I have had the player for some time and it has worked without any problems. Now, from one day to the next, it cannot read Blu-Ray or DVDs. It no longer recognises them. I have done an update and checked everything else. Everything else works perfectly. Does anyone else have this problem, or is this a laser problem?
Have 2, ground floor and 1st floor, both run clean and well, have no negative experiences.

The reason for this is a very difficult question to answer from a distance. I once had this with a Yamaha burner and at that time it was the laser. I was able to throw it away 2 months after the end of the warranty without any problems. So since then, no more Yamaha devices. No, that hasn't happened to me yet with Sony Blu-Ray. On the contrary, I had a Sony beamer overhauled at no cost a few years ago. Maybe it still works. But maybe the difference was simple: a valuable, expensive device versus a consumer device.
