This works with any connectable 3.5mm jack headset or headphones. Astro recommends this, but with a proprietary Astro A40 headset to match the sound of the DAC/Mixamp, but this is complete nonsense, as there are far better (studio) headsets on the market than the recommended one. If you own one, you can use it without any problems, but the Mixamp is not (necessarily) recommended by many in terms of sound. But just in terms of sound and not in terms of functionality. If you are only interested in sound improvement, I recommend the cheap and theoretically far better Shiit models from America, which have also recently brought a similar model onto the market. However, they are probably not PS4 compatible, if that's what you're after.
