Hello all I would like to connect surveillance cameras via my Synology NAS, but the question is, wouldn't it be better to plug in a WD Purble for this purpose?

For home use with a few cameras, a Red is certainly sufficient, the Purple only has advantages if many cameras write to the disk and you often evaluate the videos. Both are suitable for continuous operation.
