It would still be important to know whether your question concerns use with PC, XBOX or PS4. I'm assuming you're talking about the PC, because the manual says the following...
Connected via USB:
- When connected to the PC via USB it can be used as a handbrake or sequential gear shifter.
- Works in all games that support multi-USB, separate handbrakes and gear shifters.
- Works with all steering wheels

Connected via the steering wheel:
- Connected via the steering wheel, the device only functions as a sequential gearshift lever
- I'll leave out other points here, since you asked about USB.
