Has anyone ever taken the PartyBox 100 on the plane in their hand luggage, or is that allowed?

What you don't think about is the battery... In the meantime, the airlines have also introduced requirements. Pay particular attention when transiting outside of Switzerland. The rule at the ZH airport is for example: "Electronic devices may be transported with an inserted or built-in
battery <160 Wh may be transported in checked baggage. Spare batteries
batteries and accumulators belong in the hand luggage. For devices with batteries
>Therefore, the battery of the JBL 100 Box has 2500mAh and 14.4V = 36 Wh... Basically you are allowed to take the box with you (weight problem excluded). However, I would not rely on it, so information without guarantee.

The masses are decisive, along with the weight.

No, hardly anyone has, because the PartyBox 100 is too big for hand luggage for most airlines and too heavy at just under 16 kg.
