TP-Link Tapo C460 KIT
3840 x 2160 pixels
Has anyone done a long-run test? I'd like to get the complete kit with the H500 HUB and hard drive. But I'd like the cameras to be stable and the motion detection to work well. I've read a lot of reviews, from very good to very bad. I'd like to make the change from Arlo Pro to Tapo. But is it really worth it?
I can't recommend it at the moment. I have 4 c460 and 2 c225 in use with hub.
Cameras lose detection and notification settings every 48 hours or so
I have been using it for 1 week in a Deco x50 mesh with 4 deco hubs. The deco mesh usually sputters when something doesn't work. When I added the c460 to the hub, I had problems because it recognised the c460 but claimed that the h500 was not in the same network as the cameras. My difficulties are probably more the fault of the network than the combo of 7 cameras and the h500. importantly, the ki authorisation and the associated recognition features can only be granted to a maximum of 6 devices. The seventh then only has person and motion detection. It will work, but you need a stable network.
I have been using the C460 kit for 2 months and it is very stable. The motion detection works very well, the resolution is very good. I can recommend it. The camera is installed outdoors. I record the videos internally on a 256 GB SAN disc, which lasts forever, depending on how often it records, of course. 10 - 20 recordings per day.
