Question about Zhiyun WEEBILL-S Image Transmission Pro Kit
Good evening, I am looking for a gimbal for my Sony Alpha 7 III. I have read various reviews and articles. After some research I ended up with two products: Zhiyun WEEBILL-S and the Moza AirCross 2. For me, these two products convinced me with their features (especially the inception and follow mode). Now there is quite a price difference (about 150.- for the Image Transmission and the Pro Combo). Can anyone recommend one of the products to me? (Or also gladly another one) The following is important to me: - good stabilisation during normal walking - Inception mode (360° rotation) - Follow mode (where the gimbal follows an object) - Price limit at approx. 600.- Many thanks for your help Mfg
The Zhiyun WEEBILL-S Image Transmission Pro Kit is quite versatile and can do a lot.
Nevertheless, there are some limitations.
The Sony 7 III with a larger lens, e.g. the 24-70 mm GM, is generally at the upper limit for the gimbal.
To the questions:
- Good stabilisation with normal walking
With a smaller, lighter lens, e.g. the 16-35 mm GM, the stabilisation works quite well.
- Inception mode (360° rotation)
No problem for the gimbal, provided you have a smaller lens and good balance.
- Follow mode (where the gimbal follows an object)
The follow mode works quite well, but also with slight limitations, sufficient light and good differentiation from the background.
In my view, the gimbal is more suitable for lighter camera settings, (for 2 to 2.5 kg) and for easier use.
It should be noted that the battery life is relatively short, so spare batteries should be included.
I can recommend the DJI RS 2 if it is a little above the asking price.
However, this device is of a much higher quality and offers the similar or desired functions, but is much more sophisticated and reliable.
