I have a MacBook pro m1 from last year with 16 gb of RAM. Since I work a lot with a cad at home and at work and also create 3D drawings there, I am now considering whether the 14" MacBook with 32gb of RAM is recommendable or whether it doesn't make too much of a difference.

Hello M1996W, the M1 Pro / Max are still quite a bit stronger than the normal M1, whether the programme you are using also supports this I unfortunately do not know. But here is a good report that compares the processors:
