As far as I know, the tablet has neither a Vga nor a Hdmi connection - so it certainly can't be connected directly. The only possibility I see is via a docking station which is attached to the tab at the USB 3.1 Type C and in turn has an HDMI connection....

Of course it works. You just need a usb-c to HDMI adapter. There is an official Samsung multiport adapter. But noname ones also work.
Alternatively, you can also connect wirelessly via Google Chromecast... Depending on the model, it costs about the same as an adapter + HDMI cable;-)
