I never had any problems, as the cable usually sticks out a little, it never got stuck on me.

Doesn't bother me at all. What bothers me, however, is that the pad is not completely flat. My Razer Diamonback (new version) wobbles at certain corners of the pad.

It has never bothered me, but I have switched to wireless anyway. If it does, just put a mouse bungee in front of it and that solves the problem.
