Does this player also play DVDs from the USA (region code 1)?

the firmware M30.R.0527 is region 2 only. I changed the firmware to M30.R.9527 and it now plays USA discs (from rattlebyte).

According to the manufacturer, players purchased in Switzerland and Europe cannot play DVDs with region code 1.
