Yes it will work and it says in the box compatible with 5000 series, that means the BIOS is already updated at the factory.

No, very probably not. Unless it is fresh from the factory, in which case it has the latest BIOS.
But if it's already older than that from stock, it certainly won't. You have to update it, but you should check it in any case before installing it in the case with the cooler.
