Not 100% sure if the package has a display port cable, but for 144hz you will indeed need display port cable or DVI ( DVI cable is included in the package. )you can also use hdmi 1.3 or higher but i don t think there is a 1.3 or higher hdmi cable in the package.

So you can in any case dvi port for 144hz.

I got a Displayport-DVI adaptor in the package. Because my PC with a 1080 TI build in has got only Displayport connection. So i'm assumig that might be the issue. But i'm not sure at all and btw thx for your help, over all it helps me alot.
