I use Sandisk with the Windows system. The situation is simple: You transfer an MP3 file from the desktop to the device via USB connection. The device itself is displayed as a drive on the desktop.

You can check whether the transfer with iTUNES is successful by checking whether an MP3 file can be copied from iTUNES to another drive. If this is possible, it should also be possible to transfer the file to the Sandisk.
