Does the printer support rabdless printing?
A laser printer cannot print borderless for technical reasons. As a rule, there will always be a white margin about 5 mm wide. When toner is applied in borderless laser printing, some toner dust would always fall next to the paper and, over time, the whole system would become so dirty that it would become unusable. Only some inkjet printers can print borderless. Here, a sponge or collecting tray catches any ink that spills over and keeps the system clean.
For borderless laser printing, it is advisable to choose the next larger format (e.g. B4 for A4) and to equip the printed material with a 3 mm oversize margin and crop marks and cut it to the final format with a good cutter. But then you would have to use a laser printer that can print larger than A4. If you want it to be cheaper, you either have to build up the design with white space or make a compromise with the A4 format size, cut away the white margin and accept a smaller final format.
