This ending in the model designation "...EFZX" shows that this is a CMR hard disk.
SMR has the suffix "...EFRX".

Yes, I think so ... Just have a look at Geizhals or, as already written, at the manufacturer. But yes, this is a CMR plate

According to WD https://shop.westerndigital.com/de-de..., the WD40EFZX is CMR. The press says that the Plus and Pro series always use CMR.
