Does the CPU also work well with the ASUS TUF Gaming X670E-Plus motherboard or rather the type of motherboard i.e. X670E-Plus?

Yes, this CPU runs on all 600 boards from AMD. Important: A BIOS update may be necessary beforehand. This can be done either via BIOS flashback on the board or with another supported CPU. I would therefore look at the board for the flashback option.
