Does not work with my new MacBook Air (M2). It keeps telling me that the device is not connected. It also shows that an update is available, but as soon as I want to update it, it says that it is up to date. I can't access my data this way. Does anyone have any tips for me on how to solve this? This can have different causes:
1. first make sure that you have connected the Samsung Portable SSD T7 - 2 TB - Grey MU-PC2T0T/WW via the appropriate USB 3.2 Gen.2 slot. If necessary, try a different USB slot to rule out a defect. Please only use the USB cable supplied.
2. pay attention to the operating system requirements, these are for Mac: Mac OS X 10.10 or higher.
3. the SSD is factory formatted with the exFAT file system, which is supported by Windows, Mac and Android. Depending on the operating system, data of a certain format can be read from the SSD. Information on this can be found in the operating instructions from page 6 onwards.

Does the SSD appear in the hard drive utility? (Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility)
If so, you can select it there and reformat it as Mac OS Extended (Journaled) under "Erase".
