The technology is relatively simple, so it should work as long as nothing sticks. However, I wouldn't buy the robot as a mopping robot. The mopping effect is more like a damp dusting, not so intensive that a cleaning agent would be worthwhile.

I recommend running it with water from time to time and then cleaning it by hand with detergent at longer intervals.

If you want a real mopping robot, you have to go for a Dreame DreameBot L10s or more expensive ones.
