Does anyone have experience with the 80D and fast lenses? The 70D had problems with large apertures (F2.8) and autofocus? Is this now solved with the 45 focus points or centre focus?

Helpful answer

In all the reviews of the Canon 80D that I have read so far, I have not found any such indication. So I tend to think that there is no problem. Regarding the 70D problems, I did find something, but it was mostly due to a camera defect.

On traumflieger.de you can read in the camera test: "Speaking of the 70D autofocus problem: the EOS 80D was unfortunately also affected by this in our test. If you focus very fast wide-angle lenses with the central AF area, the AF often does not work properly. As a workaround, you can use an off-centre AF area or the Liveview."
