Does anyone have experience of the SN700 running with 4TB on the SATA port in a Lenovo m720q? Not on the n.vme port, which is already occupied by an evo 870 with 1TB.

you answered the question yourself. sata is not compatible with nvme. there are hybrid ports, but i doubt that this is one of them. for an m.2 sata port you have to use a sata ssd in m.2 format. check the length if necessary. (usually 2280)
