Do you have to drill into the table here, according to the instructions (step 1b and 1c) drilling into the table is illustrated.... ? Is this normal for monitor mounts in this category?

https://www.youtube.com/watch According to this YouTuber, there are two different mounting options available. The option with the table hole drilling is suitable if you want to place the bracket a little more centrally, so the table can be placed closer to the wall.
