Do all models or at least this one have WWAN preparation, i.e. SIM slot + antennas? It is not explicitly mentioned in the specifications, but in another question/answer it seems that it at least has a SIM slot.

I was able to do a search and according to the manufacturer this model has a "preparation", so it is possible to retrofit a WWAN connection. Manufacturer information:
WWAN: WWAN Upgradable to 4G
SIM Card: None
Optional ports (configured):
1x Smart Card Reader
1x Nano-SIM Card Slot
You are welcome to contact us for detailed advice, otherwise you would have to check with the manufacturer, as I am currently doing, whether the configuration is prepared or simply cannot be retrofitted.
