Deactivate automatic switch-off I tested the SoundLink Box in a seminar room at the weekend. Great sound. However, when I needed quiet background music (ambience), the speaker switched off automatically after 20 minutes. That's not what I want! I searched and found this in the manual: Deactivating the automatic switch-off 1. press and hold H and the input mode button at the same time. You will hear "Automatic switch-off function deactivated". 2. repeat the step to reactivate the automatic switch-off function. again. However, this does not work reliably. It is better to use the Bose Connect app. There it has a separate setting for 'Auto switch off' and it shows that there are several options. One is = 'Never switch off'. I have now selected this and hope that it works. Otherwise I'll have to return the box.

Oh, just now (after a few minutes) the speaker (with quiet music) has switched itself off again. When I turn up the volume on the player, the sound comes back. That is totally bad. I'm still testing with another player. If that doesn't work, I'll have to return the speaker as a warranty claim. Maybe my device is an assembly model?

Automatic switch-off via Bose Connect works perfectly for me. I have two of these speakers and have never had a problem with this.

Hello Ueli
I actually always listen via Spotify and have never had this problem. It has also never occurred with audiobooks.
