To play films on a USB SSD, they must be in the correct format. The Philips TV generally supports JPEG for photos and MP3 for music. Video formats such as AVI, MPEG4 or MKV are not supported. It is advisable to convert the files to a supported format if possible. Note that the USB flash drive should be in FAT/DOS format in order to be recognised.

If you want to convert films, you could convert them to a supported audio format such as MP3, but video formats are limited. For better video playback you could consider alternative devices such as a media player or smart TV box.
