That works. I use 2, one on the first floor and the other in the basement, router is on the ground floor. It is important to have at least 1-2 bars of signal strength. With the repeater you lose bandwidth, 2 routers in a row could be problematic.

Otherwise, the things work fine, the motto is try, the things cost almost nothing more.
