Question about Brother MFC-L3730CDN
can this printer also be connected to the home network via wifi or is this only possible via lan cable? what are the dimensions of the printer?

The unit has a network interface (LAN). If you connect it via network cable to your router, which probably has W-LAN, the machine is automatically accessible via W-LAN.
A W-LAN MFC/DCP device (W in the last position of the product name instead of N) is only required if:
a) The machine is to be located in a place where there is no (network/cable) LAN connection.
b) If you want to connect your mobile phone/tablet etc. via WiFi Direct ONLY to the MFC (which makes little sense if these devices are already connected to your own W-LAN).
