Can the Roomba 980 do zone cleaning? For example, that you can only clean the dining area after breakfast?

Roomba 980 works with iAdapt 2.0 Navigation and re-maps your home every time it cleans. The map is not saved. For this reason, it is not possible to clean individual rooms specifically.
You can control this with a robot with Imprint Technology such as Roomba i7150/i75158 or i7558+.

Spartano84's answer is also correct. Roomba has what is called the 'spot function'. Roomba can be placed in the desired location and then cleans the area of approximately 1 to 2 m2 by activating the spot function.

Yes, you can press a button that cleans a certain radius of about 1 to 2 metres. I have the iRobort Romba 980 and find it very good. It's better to spend a little money on a robot hoover, then it cleans better than the conventional, very cheap robots.
