Can the Ronin-SC also be used for the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema? This camera is considered a challenge for gimbals.

I used the Ronin-SC with my Sony A6300 and the Sigma 24mm lens (approx. 600g). The balancing always worked well (all axes on "excellent"). However, I always had a mini jitter in the picture.... I only got rid of this problem with small/light lenses. You can find a lot about this problem in the forums but there is no solution. My guess is that this gimbal is just too weak for bigger/heavier lenses. I would recommend the new Ronin RS2 if you want more leeway with lenses. I've been using the RS2 for a few days and the shots are shake free! The gimbal quality (workmanship) of the Ronin-SC is of course also top and recommendable.
Best regards

Hello, I am currently filming with a Panasonic GH5 and you should take a quick look at the dimensions. The GH5 has the following dimensions; W/H/L: te 138.50 / 98.10 / 87.40 mm. The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema 6K has: W/H/L: 177.80 / 96.52 / 101.60 mm, the 4K has W/H/L: 178.10 / 96.00 / 85.50 mm.
With the GH5, balancing with a normal lens is relatively easy, but the body is almost at the stop on the right side (gimbal arm). I could imagine that with an even wider camera, i.e. 177 mm and larger, balancing would cause some problems. I haven't tested it, so these are just thoughts or assumptions.
Conclusion: Take the Ronin SC with you and try out balancing with a Blackmagic at a specialist shop. Otherwise this gimbal is a good thing.
