The monitor switches off when the PC is shut down; when it is started up, the screen clicks and switches on.

I do not know whether the monitor goes into STBY mode when it is switched off or is completely without power.
If you want to be absolutely sure, put the connection cable on a power strip with an off switch.

The USB ports are powered by the PC (cable included).
When it is shut down, there should be neither signals nor power.

It can be switched off as normal, just like any other monitor!
