The Coolpix p900 is a compact camera and you can't exchange lenses. It has a focal length of 24mm to 2000mm, which is actually more than the Sigma covers in the zoom range.... but certainly with the corresponding compromises in quality, otherwise everyone would only buy compact cameras...

Hardly. As far as I can see, the Coolpix P900 does not have an interchangeable lens with F bayonet option. The lens is fixed. This lens fits the Nikon full-frame camera as well as the DX DSLR cameras with F bayonet. E.g. D800, D850, D5 etc. or D7000, etc.
Without an adapter, it should not fit the Nikon Z series either.
