Can the EcoTank system also cause the ink to dry out, as is the case with ordinary ink cartridges? As a result, unattractive results are printed.

I have had my printer for more than a year. I have now refilled the black ink for the first time (the other colours are still half full). At no time have I noticed the ink drying up or anything like that.
