Can the door be locked or unlocked from the inside in a straight forward manner (i.e., without using a smartphone or other device), for example, by pushing a button? How about locking the door, for example, when an unsupervised visitor, e.g., a cleaning person, leaves?

Opening/closing from the inside is no problem. Simply press the large button on the Nuki.
You can also set the system to always lock when the door is closed. For example, when a person leaves the house without a mobile phone. The basic status is basically always a locked door.

The button can be used to open or close the door. Even by people without a mobile.
