I think so, because it is recognised by the bios like an internal drive and is also assigned a drive letter.
I would say at system startup simply press (for Asus it is F12) to get to the boot menu, if it is listed there you can also use it to install. I myself only install via USB stick. Must have at least 16 GB for Windows 10. The boot stick can be easily created using the Windows Media Creation Tool.
