Question about Canon PIXMA TS3750i

Can I install software on macOS Tahoe with this or comparable printers (Pixma MG2551S, Brother DCP-J1260W/DCP-J1310DW, Epson ExpressionHome XP-3205, Epson EcoTank ET-2870 etc.) and scan via this software (HP only offers software for Windows on the support page)? On many of these printers, there is information that you can print/copy/scan wirelessly via tablet/smartphone or you can print/scan/copy via app and print via AirPrint. I am not interested in the mobile options, I need to be able to connect the printer to the Mac via USB and scan via the installed printer software. Thank you for your prompt reply.

For the Pixma TS3750i (ink cartridge, colour), you can find drivers, software and manuals for various operating systems, including macOS, on the official Canon support site. The exact compatibility with macOS Tahoe (presumably you mean macOS Sonoma, as there is no macOS Tahoe) is not explicitly confirmed in the search results, but Canon usually offers suitable software for current Mac models, which also enables scanning via USB.

With many current Canon models, you can install the software (Canon IJ Scanner Utility) and use it to scan directly via USB, provided the appropriate driver is available for your macOS. The mobile functions (AirPrint, apps) are not relevant for your scenario, as you are explicitly asking for USB connection and scanning via software.

The following applies to the comparison models from other manufacturers (Brother, Epson, HP): Brother and Epson generally also offer suitable drivers and scanning software for macOS, while HP currently only provides Windows software according to your information.

Conclusion: For the Pixma TS3750i, you should check the Canon support page to see whether suitable software is available for your specific macOS - this is common practice at Canon, but not guaranteed for every model and every macOS version. If you are unsure, we recommend asking Canon directly or searching the Community for experiences with your exact Mac model and macOS.

The same applies to the other models mentioned: Brother and Epson usually offer macOS support, HP currently does not. If in doubt, always check the manufacturer's official support page.
